Team BEAN 1833

Team BEAN is currently not accepting new members for the current season. If you would like to be notified when we release applications for the 2026-2027 school year, please complete this Google form. To give an idea of the application process, the instructions from this season are provided below.

For the 2025-2026 season, Team BEAN is introducing a team application for all students, even returning ones, to complete. There are three components to this application:

1. Complete the team application on TeamSnap. While the logistical questions can and should be completed with a parent or guardian, the student applying should answer questions 38-72 on his/her own. For questions 73 and 74 (the last two questions), please coordinate with your parent or guardian to select the mandatory meetings you and your parents/guardians will attend. Please start the form as soon as possible so students can prepare responses to the open-ended questions. Responses can be saved and returned to later.
2. A guardian must attend one of the team’s required informational meetings.
   • Parent Information Meeting 1: July 24, 2025 at [location provided via email]
   • Parent Information Meeting 2: August 20, 2025 at [location provided via email]
3. For students who were not on Team BEAN in the 2024-2025 season, an in-person tryout will be required. This will give the team a chance to work with applicants and the applicants can get a better sense of how the team functions. The application must be complete for the student to attend one of the meetings.
   • New Member Tryout 1: July 26, 2025 at [location provided via email] (for students who finish applications before July 19 only)
   • New Member Tryout 2: August 23, 2025 at [location provided via email]

The application is open from June 22 until August 16.

Please note that all students are waitlisted until applications are reviewed and decisions made.  We expect to accept students in two waves:

1. Students that apply by July 19, attend the July 26 tryout, and whose parents attend the July 24 parent information meeting will be considered for acceptance around July 31. It is possible students in this wave may continue to be waitlisted until the second wave.
2. Students that apply by August 16, attend the August 23 tryout, and whose parents attend the August 20 parent information meeting will be considered, along with those waitlisted from the first wave, for acceptance around August 31.

Completion of the TeamSnap form or other parts of the application are not a commitment on either party. Acceptances will be sent out via TeamSnap, and completion of that form will officially register a student on Team BEAN.
